National Staff Service Line (NSSL) provides human resources and finance services to national staff of 20 client missions/offices in Africa. The services provided are; contracts management, administration of benefits and entitlements, management of time and attendance records, processing of monthly payroll and final payments, separation pension reporting and processing of travel within missions. NSSL currently has a total of 45 staff members – 31 with finance portfolio and 14 with Human Resources portfolio.
NSSL is currently administering approximately 7,800 staff members and running payroll for approximately 8,500 staff members as of 31 March 2017. At full capacity, these numbers are expected to increase by another 12-15%.
HR related functions: Onboarding, renewal of appointments, promotions, within-grade increment, temporary assignment and special post allowances, leave administration, separation; changes in dependencies; changes in personal information; time administration – overtime, compensatory time off, night differential; paternity/maternity leave; salary advances.
Finance related functions: monthly payroll, off-cycle payroll, final payment, separation pension reporting and F10 claims processing
