RSCE enforces a strict ZERO-TOLERANCE policy for all forms of sexual wrongdoing: sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment. Under the United Nations’s policy framework, sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment are deemed as serious violations of the organization’s policy framework. Perpetrators of sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment will be held accountable for their actions and are subject to severe administrative and serious disciplinary measures, including among others dismissal and / or being barred from future employment within the RSCE and across the UN system.
RSCE staff/personnel (as victims or witnesses) are obligated to report allegations of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment to the designated offices. All RSCE staff/personnel are protected from retaliation for reporting allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse or sexual harassment in good faith. Retaliation is prohibited and, if established, constitutes sanctionable misconduct. Personnel who believe that they have been the victim of retaliation may seek informal redress or make a formal complaint.
Our commitment as RSCE is to uphold and protect the dignity and respect of all individuals, whilst ensuring that our workspaces or environment remain free from all acts of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment.
