RSCE National Staff Association Changes Leadership
“Our is not a mere change of guards, it is a fundamental change.” These words were spoken in 1986 by the new President of Uganda at the time.
Similar sentiments were raised on 2nd December at the Nyosar Leisure Gardens as the new executive committee for the RSCE National Staff Association (NASA) took office.
The national staff took to the polls in October 2022 to elect a new executive after the lapse of the term of the past leadership.
Ms. Madiinah Mbabazi (National Staff Service Line) run for office and was returned unopposed alongside her Vice President Ms. Sharon Twongyeirwe (Vendor Service Line).
The duo took over office from Mr. Yusuf Kagwa, Out going President and Ms. Rosette Ruyonga
Mr. Kaggwa expressed his gratitude urged to all the national staff for the support they accorded his executive and urged them to pledge the same to Ms. Mbabazi to move NASA. He also thanked Management for the collaborative attitude towards the association.
“Ours has been a relationship of collaboration. We have always met with the Director and discussed matters that affect national staff and he has given us audience and guidance and that is why we have been able to achieve a lot for you.” Said Mr. Kagwa.
Mr. Paulin Djomo advised the new NASA leadership to “Be aware when presenting cases for discussion. You are representing all national staff at the Entebbe Support Base so you have to be mindful of the cases you choose to bring forward. Try to avoid individualizing issues but present those that affect your whole constituency.”
Ms. Mbabazi promised to keep her door open and her focus on the issues that will better the national staff. She also pledged to work closely with the Field Staff Union (FSU) in Entebbe and management of RSCE and Entebbe Support Base.
