ENTEBBE – On Friday 24th January, Chief of the Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE) Paulin Djomo invited all staff of the RSCE to attend a beginning of the year town hall meeting. The chief RSCE recognised 2019 to be a fantastic year while also looking forward to the year to come.

In order to streamline the recruitment of its National staff members, the Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE) has transitioned the screening of applicants from manual (hard copies) to digital by using Inspira – the United Nations global online recruitment system.

The Long Service Awards Ceremony was concluded by the cutting of a cake by several long-serving staff members, under the approving eye of Chief RSCE Mr. Paulin Djomo.

The Regional Service Centre Entebbe hosted its 8th Client Board Meeting attended by all Directors and Chiefs of Mission Support or their representatives for UN field operations in Africa and the RSCE Senior Management.
UNESB and RSCE was joined by teenagers from the AIDS Support Organization (TASO) to celebrate the World AIDS Day. United Nations Entebbe Support Base (UNESB) and the Regional Service Centre (RSCE) commemorated the day on December 4, 2019 under the theme “Communities make the difference”.
Since 1988, every first day of December is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV and remembering those who have died of the disease.United Nations Entebbe Support Base (UNESB) and the Regional Service Centre (RSCE) commemorated the day on December
