While the Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE) is going into its fourth consecutive month of the remote working arrangements, one might almost forget the huge technical efforts that are taking place behind the scenes.
The Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE) concluded the 6-week virtual HR Partners Training on Wednesday, 3rd June 2020. The training that was the first of its kind at the Centre was conducted over Microsoft Teams and attended by 10 staff members.
Since the Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE) personnel has been working remotely due to the nationally declared lockdown to fight the COVID-19 disease, many staff members are exposed to possible sedentarism.
Members of the National Staff Association (NASA) of the Entebbe Support Base (ESB) voluntarily contributed a sum of six million shillings (UGX 6,000,000 /=) towards a fund to support the national taskforce on COVID19.
It is business as usual at the Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE) despite the COVID-19 global pandemic as the Centre hosts its first virtual HR Partners Training via Microsoft Teams.
During this period when we are advised to stay and work from home, it is more important than ever before to maintain physical and mental fitness.
The Government of Uganda has advised us to practice social distancing and staying at home to curb the spread of COVID-19. This does not mean that we must change our lifestyles completely.
The Education Grant Service Line (EGSL) at the Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE) has recently implemented a paperless method of moving documents within the various stages of review in processing Education Grant submissions from field staff.
The Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE) has significantly contributed to achieving the Under-Secretary General’s (USG) Compact goals for 2019 through its Compliance Unit by achieving 72% implementation rate of the audit recommendations from Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS).
On 6th March the RSCE along with other tenants of the Entebbe Support Base (ESB) celebrated International Women’s Day under the theme, “I am Generation Equality: Realising Women’s Rights.”
