RSCE Team visits the MINUSCA Mission in Bangui

Kelly B. Strunk

A team of five from RSCE traveled to Bangui, Central African Republic on 28 May to meet with focal points in the MINUSCA Mission.  Representatives from the RSCE included: Elisabeth Muchai (OSSL), Jean Minani (ETSL), Moreen Kobusingye (OSSL), Albert Bockarie (EGSL) and Kelly B. Strunk (CCMU).

The objective of the visit was to organize face-to-face meetings with Staff Members at MINUSCA to improve our understanding of their specific needs, as well as, to provide a comprehensive overview of the RSCE’s services.  The RSCE Team was able to meet with Finance, HR, DSRSG, Chief of Staff, UP, NASA and FSU.  The RSCE Team also hosted a town hall and walk-in clinics, both of which were very productive.

The team also had the opportunity to travel Kago Bandoro for a sector visit.  They were able to meet with many heads of units to discuss sector specific issues that they encounter. A successful town hall and walk-in clinics were had there as well.

The trip was wrapped up with a de-brief with the DDMS to discuss the outcomes of the visit.   Overall, it was a fruitful visit for all.  These visits aim to strengthen relations between client missions and RSCE staff.
