Umoja Technical and Support Staff Undergo Galileo Decommissioning Project Teach-Back Training

Umoja Technicians and Support staff underwent the Galileo Decommissioning Project (GDP) teach-back Training on Inventory Management (IM) and Warehouse Management (WM) that took place from 07 to 11 August 2017 at the Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE).

The participants; technicians and service desk agents from Umoja Support Unit, Service Desk, and Implementation Team of Regional Information & Communications Technology Services (RICTS), received training in Material Master Data, Story Board Cycle 1 & 2 (End To End processes) and IM & WM Master Data, tested their level of expertise and knowledge before getting GDP Support Certification. The goal of the GDP training was take them through the overall end-to-end transactional side of IM and WM, and the quality management business processes, so that they can better assist Umoja users

 “The training will allow us to support end-to-end Umoja execution.  I now have a much better understanding of the overall processes,” said Mudasir Habib, Umoja Support & Performance Reporting Assistant.”

 The purpose of GDP is to replace the existing Galileo logistics system with Umoja’s enhanced Foundation Supply Chain Solution.​
